Georgia Car Accidents

Every year, Georgia sees hundreds of deadly car crashes, with a significant number occurring on busy highways and city streets. Major corridors such as I-285, I-75, Peachtree Street, and other state routes are particularly prone to serious accidents due to high traffic volumes, speeding, and driver error. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, fatal car accidents continue to be a major public safety concern across the state.Atlanta, GA - Two Killed in Collision on I-85 near Senoia Rd

Many of these tragedies could be prevented, yet they often happen because of unsafe driving behaviors, including:

Distracted Driving – A driver looking at their phone, GPS, or anything other than the road can cause a catastrophic collision in an instant.

Speeding & Aggressive Driving – Traveling above posted limits or weaving through traffic increases the severity of crashes and the likelihood of fatal injuries.

Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol and drug-impaired drivers continue to contribute to a significant portion of fatal crashes statewide.

Failure to Obey Traffic Laws – Ignoring stop signs, traffic signals, or right-of-way rules frequently results in deadly collisions on Georgia’s roads.
