Georgia Car Accidents

Cobb Co., GA - One Killed, One Hurt in Collision on Blackwell RdFrom quiet backroads to major interstates like I-75, I-20, and I-16, car accidents continue to take a heavy toll across Georgia. Thousands of crashes happen every year, leaving individuals and families to deal with serious injuries, emotional distress, and financial burdens they never expected.

Whether caused by distracted driving, excessive speed, or dangerous road conditions, many of these accidents could have been prevented. Unfortunately, even a single lapse in judgment behind the wheel can result in life-changing consequences.

Some of the most common causes of injury-causing car accidents in Georgia include:

  • Distracted driving – Texting, adjusting the radio, or using a GPS device can take a driver’s focus off the road at the worst possible time.
  • Speeding – Driving too fast for traffic, weather, or road conditions increases both the likelihood and severity of a crash.
  • Reckless or aggressive behavior – Tailgating, unsafe lane changes, and ignoring traffic signals endanger everyone on the road.
  • Driving under the influence – Alcohol or drug use continues to be a leading factor in preventable traffic injuries and fatalities.
  • Fatigue – Drowsy driving impairs reaction time and decision-making, often with devastating results.

Injuries from car accidents can range from broken bones and internal trauma to long-term conditions like brain injuries and chronic pain. Beyond the physical impact, many victims struggle with mounting medical bills, time away from work, and lasting emotional effects.
